Just 4 km south of Lake Kalterersee, 300 km south of Munich and 200 km north of Venice, it lies at an altitude of 276 meters asl. The sunny wine production locality of Tramin is famous especially for being home of the famous Gewürztraminer white wine. The town lanscape is marked by its narrow streets, the aristocratic homes rich in tradition and the ancient wine estates surrounded by vast vineyards.
