Schenna

On the sunny hills above Meran there is located Schenna/Scena, 600 meters above sea level. The entire municipality of Schenna covers an area of 4.800 ha from the town boarders of Meran (300 m) to the peaks of the Sarntaler Alps, namely the Hirzer (2.781 m) and the Ifinger (2.581 m). The region is famous for its beautiful highlands and it is one of the sunniest hiking areas of South Tyrol (300 sunny days a year).

From simple strolling paths, comfortable hikes, excursions to Alpine meadows and lodges, up to high alpine tours and climbing peaks – Schenna offers over 220 km of hiking trails. Diversified are also the accommodations: from luxury hotel to original guest houses.
