Ratschings

Welcome to Ratschings/Racines, a recently established municipality that consists of three valleys: Ridnauntal/Val Ridanna, Ratschingstal/Val Racines and Jaufental/Val Giovo. It has the sixth largest surface area of South Tyrol. Starting from 980 m the inhabited part of the valleys reach up to an altitude of 1520 m. With certain excursions you will even take up to a hight of 3507 m.

The area of Ratschings and the surrounding locations offer many possibilities to hike or climb the mountains. There are beautiful footpaths with charming mountain huts to have a rest. Enjoy homemade products such as the typical cheese "Graukäse" or the fresh milk from the cows.
